Concerning the charge that Christians should be observing the feasts and holidays given specifically to the Jews in the Old Testament, the Scriptures clearly teach that Christ came to fulfill the law (Matthew:5:17) and the church is no longer under the law (Romans:6:14). Further, Galatians was written to those who denied this teaching, pointing out that the Law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ and therefore no longer necessary. Finally, decisions rendered by the early church leadership in Acts 15-16 say nothing about observing the festivals and other practices given to the nation of Israel (Exodus:19:3-6). –TBC
