It is not enough to call a person to Jesus as the best means of getting rid of their addiction. There is the matter of sin. The fact that He died for our sins upon the Cross, was buried, and rose again the third day, is the gospel by which we are saved, and to leave that out is to preach a false Jesus and a false gospel.

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."
