The devil presents counterfeits of all of God’s blessings to pull us away from faith in God, and, as a result, it shouldn’t be surprising that demonic signs and wonders exist—or that there are people who get some information from demonic sources. The whole world (the unsaved) lies under the sway of the wicked one (Satan). The unsaved are his, and although they’re ultimately responsible for their actions, he has varying degrees of control in their lives. Only Christ can set one free from the bondage of sin and Satan. Without Christ, the only protection an unbeliever has is his or her own will, which is rarely a match for the schemes of the devil.

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."
