Many people challenge God to rise up and demonstrate His love in a tangible way. God says to us, however, “Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light” (Ephesians:5:14). What more tangible proof of God should we require than what Christ has already done on the cross? Have you appropriated it? “Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John:6:37). Others say that “Jesus Christ seems ethereal, nebulous, far away, and removed from my everyday struggles,” and God seems “very impersonal.” In contrast, the Scriptures tell us that when we draw nigh to God, He will draw nigh to us. Was this a lie? –TBC

“That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him and find him, though he be not far from everyone of us…” –Acts:17:27
