Nuggets from "Whatever Happened to Heaven?" by Dave Hunt

The sinfulness of man created an impossible dilemma. Those who seek to Christianize today's world by joining forces with the ungodly, no matter how good the cause, could well find themselves confronted with similar problems. The heart of even "Christianized" man is still "deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked" (Jeremiah:17:9). As Roland H. Bainton points out in his biography of Martin Luther, "Coercion can never be eliminated because society can never be Christianized."

It does not bode well that the Reconstructionists, whose influence in the church is growing rapidly, have Calvin as their faultless hero, and hope to model Christianized society after his failed Geneva experiment.
