Many have promoted the Mel Gibson film The Passion of the Christ as an excellent tool for evangelization. But an increasing number, particularly among ex-Catholics, are concerned that this movie will simply be an ecumencial tool to introduce evangelicals to Catholicism's unbiblical ideas and traditions about the crucifixion.
