Boko Haram Video: No Room for Christians

ChristianPost.com, 6/29/17, “Boko Haram Leader Resurfaces in Video, Says There Is No Room for Christians” [Excerpts]: Abubakar Shekau, leader of Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram, has resurfaced in a new video, claiming responsibility for attacks on the army and declaring that there is no room for Christians to live with Muslims in the country as equals.

“My message is to Islamic clerics in Nigeria who despite their position are giving wrong interpretation to the Holy Koran; you are playing with hell fire. You have to be careful because Koran has divided mankind into three; some are believers, some are hypocrites and some are nonbelievers. There is no way we Muslims in mosques and Christians in churches and you think we can work together,” Shekau says in his latest message, as reported [June 28].

“This has never happened before even during the lifetime of all apostles of the prophet.” The jihadist leader further explains that non-Muslims could be allowed to exist if they “remain by the side without interference” while Muslims are “ruling with Sharia,” which is a position that the democratic government of Nigeria rejects.

Why Jews are Losing the War on Campuses

FrontPageMag.com, 6/29/17, “Why the Jews Are Losing the War on College Campuses” [Excerpts]: According to a recent study conducted by the “Brand Israel Group,” support for Israel among Jewish college students has dropped 27% in the last 6 years...The same study found that 1 in 3 Jewish students reported anti-Semitic incidents on their campuses. Of these, 59% said that the incidents were related to anti-Israel attitudes [such as] political “atmosphere” on campus that divides the world into oppressor groups and victims, Israel being a symbol of the former.

[The] proposed remedy to step up efforts to brand Israel as not only a tolerant society but, in fact, the helper of victims, even of its enemies, is flawed. To support her strategy, Oppenheim offers the case of Ismail Haniyeh, a leader of Hamas, the terrorist organization sworn to destroy Israel and exterminate its Jews. Oppenheim observes that Haniyeh sent his ill granddaughter to Israel to receive medical treatment because he knew “Israel is too decent to turn her away,” and says: “People need to know this.”

Perhaps they do. But this is clearly not the solution to the problem. If it were, Ismail Haniyeh would have left Hamas and joined Israel’s supporters. Re-branding Israel alone is not the answer to a propaganda war, based on genocidal lies, whose goal is Israel’s destruction. The only viable solution is to do what Jewish organizations have so far refused to do: brand the American supporters of Hamas and the campus promoters of its lies as terrorist enablers and allies.

These American allies of Hamas terrorism include Students for Justice in Palestine, the Muslim Students Association, Jewish Voice for Peace, and assorted leftwing groups who support them.

Defund Planned Parenthood…Dishonor God

ChristianHeadlines.com, 6/29/17, “Nancy Pelosi: Republicans’ Efforts to Defund Planned Parenthood ‘Dishonor God’” [Excerpts]: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi criticized Republicans’ efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, even going so far as to say such efforts “dishonor the God who made us.”

Pelosi is a Democrat and a Catholic [and] a firm supporter of abortion and Planned Parenthood. In comments about the proposed GOP healthcare bill, which aims to repeal the Affordable Care Act and defund Planned Parenthood, Pelosi seemed to equate caring for God’s creation with supporting Planned Parenthood.

“I know my colleagues are people of faith,” Pelosi said. “They tell us that all the time. So, this is God’s creation, we have a real responsibility to it…to minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us…”
