God’s Word declares that the gospel, which is “the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth” (Romans 1:16 [1]), is “good tidings of great joy,” not just to certain elect, but “to all people” (Luke 2:10 [2]). Sadly, the insistence that only a select few have been elected to salvation is not “good tidings of great joy to all people”! How can such a doctrine be biblical?
