This concise, easy-to-read booklet tracks the history of challenges to the doctrine of justification, which is intrinsically connected with salvation. Some of these challenges include legalistic addictions, mystical sacraments that save, a Church that saves, and the chaos of ecumenical evangelism. From the back cover: Ron Merryman has been involved in Christian ministry for forty-five years. He served the Lord in Bible colleges for eleven years, three of those as Acting President of Western Bible College. He also pastored Holly Hills Bible Church in Denver, Colorado, for fourteen years. Ron currently teaches a Bible class in Colorado Springs, where he and his family reside. He continues to write and minister in Bible conferences throughout the country. Academically, he holds B.A. and M.A. degrees (Biblical Languages) from Bob Jones University. After two years in seminary, he also completed a Ph.D. residency at the University of Colorado majoring in The Intellectual History of the West, mentored by the famous medievalist, Dr. S. Harrison Thomson (an ordained Presbyterian minister, deceased). Ron is also a mechanical engineer with specialties in progressive die design and manufacturing. Merryman Ministries is a non-profit ministry dedicated to publishing Christian materials written from a dispensational and doctrinal viewpoint that perceives salvation as totally by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
