Law's End: The Galatian Letter
Dick York
From the back cover:
It seems evident that very few in the early church understood the distinction between law and grace, because Paul touches that subject to some degree in almost all his epistles. Actually, many believers in our time are not clear about the relationship of the believer to the laws of the Old Testament. So, it is understandable that Christians in those early days could be deceived to think that keeping the Law constituted righteousness.
Even today there are some who teach that believing on Jesus plus keeping the Ten Commandments is the way to salvation; and that eating right according to the Old Testament, and celebrating the feasts of Israel pleases God and contributes to holiness. Many, on the other hand, would see these things as evidence of unbelief. So who's right? What would the apostle Paul say about this subject?
We know what he would say because he said it in his letter to the Galatians.
