In early 2009, T. A. McMahon and Roger Oakland traveled on a joint apologetics and discernment mission to the United Kingdom, where they participated in the annual “Truth 4 Youth” Conference in Devon.
During the course of their stay, Tom and Roger were featured on World In Focus, a Christian television program broadcast live in the United Kingdom. The topic of the February 24 broadcast, as introduced by television host Doug Harris, was “Contending for the Faith” (Jude 3). The resulting program is a tangible blessing from their outreach across the Atlantic and an insightful and exciting ministry tool!
This 90-minute DVD is a powerful apologetic for God’s Word, containing a unique and special testimony of T. A. and his early ministry involvement with Dave Hunt and the birth of The Berean Call. Roger also encapsulates his testimony and expounds on the trials of contending for the faith among the professing evangelical church, explaining how we must continue to “prove all things, hold fast that which is good.”
Beginning with Psalm 1, T. A. concisely and clearly illustrates how three things are required for a proper interpretation of Scripture: 1) context, 2) grammar, and 3) meaning of words. Contrasting 2 Peter 1:3 with Genesis 3:1, he discusses how God’s Word must not only be regarded and revered as inerrant and authoritative, but also sufficient.
Both Tom and Roger embark on a rare and powerful joint Q&A session (with live callers from the UK) regarding doctrinal and practical matters affecting believers in the increasingly Islamicized Europe.
