This week’s item is from a Unification Church document dated March 29, 2001 . “Dear pastors, legislators, community leaders, and friends in faith: We cordially invite you to attend a National We Will Stand for Faith and Family Program and Banquet on April 10, 2001 , at the Ramada Plaza Suites and Conference Center in Fargo , North Dakota . It will be an inspiring evening of fellowship and music as we present a vision of God’s hope for the future of the American family. This 50 state, 50 day national tour is the collective effort of 120 dedicated Christian leaders working with local pastors, legislators and community leaders to bring a message of hope and purpose. As a nation, we are facing difficult challenges to the family and community as never before. However, at the same time we are witnessing an unprecedented recognition of the effectiveness of the faith-based initiatives. Even public officials of America are calling upon the church community to take the lead in healing our families, communities and nation.
