Proverbs:27:17 tells us that as “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” With this in view, we don’t need to worry about criticizing “God’s man” when we share a divergent opinion, as long as our confrontation follows the biblical admonition of gentleness and patience.

"And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth."

2 Timothy:2:24–25
