Apples of Gold - August 8 |

Hunt, Dave

The Scriptures are clear on the matter of womanly subjection, both in a church context and in relation to her husband. In keeping with the order that the Lord has established, women are not to pastor churches, teach, or otherwise be in authority over men (1 Corinthians:11:3; 1 Corinthians:14:33–35,40; Ephesians:5:21–33; I Timothy 2:12; 1 Peter:3:1–7). They may, however, teach other women (Titus:2:3,5) and pray or prophesy in the church (1 Corinthians:11:5).

"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord."
