Apples of Gold - January 29 |

Hunt, Dave

Christianity needs no contribution from any source, and if it does, then the Bible has lied to us when it says that Christianity is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Nothing can be added to Galatians:2:20 and the transformation of life which that brings, or to 2 Corinthians:5:17–18, or to Galatians:5:22–23. The fruit of the Spirit (not of therapy!) is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, etc. Neither here nor anywhere else does the Bible give the impression that Christ has only a partial solution to offer or that Christianity needs help from some outside source! But Christian psychology is based upon this heretical premise; otherwise it would have no reason to exist! --TBC

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." --2 Corinthians:5:17
