DAILY READINGS: 2 Samuel 24; Jeremiah 8; Ephesians:2:11-22 [11] Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; [12] That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: [13] But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. [14] For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; [15] Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; [16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: [17] And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. [18] For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. [19] Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; [20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; [21] In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: [22] In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
See All... [1]
Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider how great things he hath done for you. 1 Samuel:12:24Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
See All... [2]
The word “consider”, means "to reflect on" or "contemplate". Scripture encourages us to consider many things and to learn from them. When you have some time consider: the lilies (Matt:6:28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
See All... [3]
); the ravens (Luke:12:24Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
See All... [4]
); the ant (Prov:6:6Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
See All... [5]
); the heavens (Ps:8:3When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
See All... [6]
); your ways (Hag:1:5Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
See All... [7]
); one another (Heb:10:24And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
See All... [8]
); the Lord Jesus (Heb:12:3For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
See All... [9]
); the wondrous works of God (Job:37:14Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
See All... [10]
)! When was the last time you really stopped and considered what great things God has done for you? Try it! It will lift you up from the depths of despair to the heights of delight! —E. V.
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. —J. Oatman
