The brain is like a computer, very useful for a thinking person, but the computer no more thinks than do the fingers purposefully punching the keyboard. For a theist, who believes that the mind is nonphysical like the ideas it conceives and uses, Sagan’s clever put-down is exposed as more meaningless gibberish.
