How does this physical (it must be physical) “apparatus,” which Dawkins can neither locate nor describe, know about goal seeking? How does natural selection insert into the mind this conscious ambition and determination? Has this scientist identified the gene or genes involved? How does he know this, so that he can make these astonishing statements with such authority?
