As evidence of our evaluation of the Darwinian movement, notice the superlatives in what Dawkins goes on to reverently utter: “Darwinian natural selection is so stunningly elegant because it solves the problem of explaining complexity in terms of nothing but simplicity. Essentially, it does it by providing a smooth ramp of gradual, step-by-step increments. I could not imagine anyone being an atheist at any time before 1859, when Darwin’s Origin of Species was published…. Although atheism [1] might have been logically tenable before Darwin, Darwin made it possible to be an intellectually fulfilled atheist.”
