[We have noted how the face of Mormonism [1] has changed in public perception, partially due to ecumenical moves and partially due to an expensive public relations campaign. Yet, there has been no official change in Mormon [1] doctrine, neither have Mormonism [1]’s exclusive claims been altered.
In his extensive work on LDS doctrine, now deceased Mormon [1] Apostle, Bruce R. McConkie, stated, "If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation [2]. There is no salvation [2] outside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" (Bruce R. McConkie, "Mormon [1] Doctrine," BookCraft, SLC, Utah, 1966, page 670).
