It is true that we are new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians:5:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
See All...) and that old things are passed away and all things are become new. It is also clear, however, that we are accountable for the choices we have made in the past. The prisoner who comes to the Lord must still serve out his sentence. The debtor must still repay his physical debts, and the father of children is still responsible for them, whether married to their mother or not. What has been wiped clean is our debt of sin and the judgment that hung over our heads (Colossians:2:14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
