It takes courage, patience, longsuffering, and grace to be vulnerable as we reach out to others who don’t yet have a lot of discernment. It may be that God would have us in a church to serve Him in helping the immature. If everyone in the Body were doing what God has called them to do, the unsaved would be more receptive to the Gospel and the saved who are still childish and haven’t shed the secular would mature more quickly. On the other hand, the Lord may lead us abruptly out of a place. When we can totally trust Him for guidance and wait for His timing, and then obey His leading, we can know with confidence that we are where He wants us to be.

"And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient…."

2 Timothy:2:24
