Baptism is a declaration to the world of an individual’s acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Savior—a visible demonstration of an invisible occurrence, in which the person has died to sin, is identified with Christ in His death, and is born to a new and living hope, thus also identifying with Christ in His resurrection. In the New Testament we see that people were baptized after they were saved. —TBC

"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

Romans:6:4
