Concerning the Christian woman and church leadership, let the Bible speak for itself through 1 Corinthians:11:3; 1 Corinthians:14:33–35,40, and Titus:2:3–5. The plain language of Scripture would seem to preclude a woman’s leadership role as pastor or teacher over men in a church context (1 Timothy:2:12). Scripture would seemingly make allowance, however, for a woman’s role in prayer or prophecy (1 Corinthians:11:5) and in teaching other women (Titus:2:4).

"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."

1 Timothy:2:12
