TBC: Several new age proponents such as J. Z. Knight have put together a low budget film ("What the Bleep do You Know?") which has done a lot of business in video rentals. Knight channels an entity known as Ramtha. The movie tries to create the idea that what is being discussed is just simple science. They try to establish a link to Quantum Mechanics, but under false pretenses.

David Albert, the Columbia University physics professor featured in the film, is quoted in Salon.com:

"I was edited in such a way as to completely suppress my actual views about the matters the movie discusses. I am, indeed, profoundly unsympathetic to attempts at linking quantum mechanics with consciousness. Moreover, I explained all that, at great length, on camera, to the producers of the film . . . Had I known that I would have been so radically misrepresented in the movie, I would certainly not have agreed to be filmed."

By the way, according to a biographer of J. Z. Knight, Ramtha is a 35,000 year-old warrior from Atlantis who appeared in J. Z. Knight’s kitchen in Tacoma, Washington in 1977.  Knight claims to be Ramtha’s sole channel, to the point she has copyrighted her rights to Ramtha. In her sessions, she appears to go into a trance and speaks in what some have described as Elizabethan English in a guttural, husky voice.  She has thousands of devotees and has gotten wealthy performing as Ramtha at seminars ($1,000 at the door) and at her Ramtha School of Enlightenment, including sales of tapes, books, and other resources.
