DAILY READINGS: 1 Samuel 1; Isaiah:44:6-23; 2 Corinthians:4:7 to 5:10

Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

       —Luke:8:35

The Lord Jesus delivered this man from horrible bondage and a hopeless existence. After seeing the once possessed man in his right mind, the local people asked the Lord to depart from them—which He did. Apparently the Lord provided clothes for this man. For those who humble themselves, the Lord will clothe in divine righteousness and bestow spiritual understanding. For those who merely fear, but will not accept Him—He will depart.                             —W. A. H.

No condemnation now I dread; Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;

Alive in Him, my living head, and clothed in righteousness divine.
