What a wonderful testimony is recorded here concerning a godly mother and grandmother. As an impressionable child growing up, Timothy must have observed first hand the genuine and sincere faith of his mother and grandmother being lived out in daily experiences. Paul now saw evidence of this same faith in Timothy! What an encouragement to godly mothers and grandmothers everywhere. “Your labour is not in vain the Lord!”  (1 Cor:15:58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
