I have been hitting some events with a friend of mine recently to do some witnessing at one of the arenas in town. Remember that arenas, stadiums, etc., are great places to witness. You can hand out tracts, talk to people, or hold up signs. Great places to plant seeds.

Also remember that we have the legal right to witness at venues like this. Why? Because our tax dollars were used for the development of those buildings, so our free speech rights go along with them.

Recently, we went to a Jonas Brothers concert, a Queen concert, a Hawks basketball game, and two different comedy shows—one by Dave Chappelle and the other by Bill Burr. Below are pictures from each event. See if you can match the crowd with the event.I actually posted these in order to make it simple for you, but to me, they all look the same after a while—just loads of people heading into these events to feed their flesh. That is why I call them “FleshFests.” They might feel good to our flesh, but they do nothing for our souls.

One of the saddest things I saw was maybe 10 to 15 younger ladies walking into the Jonas Brothers concert wearing “I Love Hot Dads” t-shirts.What parent in their right mind would let a young lady walk out of their house in a shirt like that? Then again, this is why we call them “FleshFests.”

More than a few people told me they were Christians. I asked them, “What inside there tonight is going to glorify the Lord?” Thankfully, a few people were honest enough to say, “Absolutely nothing in there will glorify the Lord.”

But what should we be doing at these events? We should “Go, Stand, and Speak!” (Acts:5:20).

Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

You and some of your friends can “Go, Stand, and Speak” at some FleshFests in the coming days. It will be good for your development as a soulwinner, and it will be great for those lost people to hear some eternal truth that they so desperately need.
