God Will Keep His Promise | thebereancall.org

It was that liberty and the assurance that God would keep His promise that gave me confidence just a couple of years later to quit my job and travel penniless to Eugene, Oregon where God would establish a rescue mission that has served that city now for over sixty-eight years and where many lives have been saved and re-directed into the kingdom of God. And after that, I moved to another place with a young family to preach the Gospel in Korea and other nations. That, too, has been fruitful and eternally productive.

I have learned something from all of this. We have nothing to offer God but our trust, of which He is totally worthy. Our disabilities and inabilities are plentiful; our abilities range from insignificant to non-existent no matter how capable we may imagine ourselves to be. The only thing that makes us to be usable vessels is our availability: and then it is God that works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure. Even Jesus said, “...the Son can do nothing of himself...” and again, “I can of mine own self do nothing...I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me”(Jn:5:19,30).
