Dear Berean Call,

Dave Hunt was instrumental in my salvation. Years ago I used to watch him on the John Ankerberg Show debating all the cults or false religions during the time in my life when I was searching for the Truth.

I read lots of stuff, but The Berean Call is my favorite. Everyone seems to be afraid to defend the faith when people’s eternal souls can be at risk. Never stop pointing out “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” naming them and their false religions. I’ve noticed that many believers seem very weak in the area of deception, which Jesus warned us was the biggest thing to look out for in these Last Days. Keep up the good work. RB (CA)

Dear TBC,

Thank you for your faithfulness and for your straightforward way of dealing with questions and heresies. We appreciate so much the newsletter and articles. We read it from front to back, and we also look up things on your website [www.thebereancall.org]. DW (WA)

Dear Berean Call,

Keep your “spiritual Gorilla Tape” handy. Either the Left is exceedingly loud and appears more threatening than they are, or the noise is coming from the avalanche that is starting. Thank you for your work and the help it is. JS (ID)

Dear TBC,

I would like to express how much I appreciate your ministry and the impact it has had on my life. My family and I had been involved for 10 years in a Pentecostal church in Canada, which has become progressively more N.A.R. Last fall I happened upon a YouTube video on Bethel Theology, which God used to begin to remove the scales of deception from my eyes.

I was saved at an early age and always had a heart for the things of God, reading His Word, memorizing it, and prayer….I was loaned books by Jack Deere and Rick Joyner and I was off into the world of N.A.R., inhaling every book I could while having no understanding of the history or doctrines behind the movement. I even went to see Todd Bentley when he was in town. I was sure revival was on its way; after all even Bill Bright’s books on prayer mentioned the upcoming great revival…. I remember when Sarah Young came out with her devotional, Jesus Calling, and being bothered by how [the words] were written, as if they were quotes directly from God. Although I continued to read my Bible and memorize scripture, my focus became my time of prayer, listening to what I felt God was “saying to me personally.”

Psalm:116:6 has become very precious to me: “The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me.” Although it truly sickens me that I could have been so deceived, I am very aware of how God’s hand was protecting me. I am so grateful for your ministry, as well as the many other discernment ministries which have so much excellent material to clearly explain charismatic doctrine and Biblical theology. Hi Staff:

Here’s an update on the moral climate in our little town:

The Gay Pride lobby in our small town has upped the ante and it is now a 6-day event. With presentations being made to toddlers, children, teens and adults, an apostate Church sponsoring an interfaith gay service and a noticeable increase in daily life of homosexual men and women flaunting their relationships with overt physical displays, it truly does just get worse.

Thank you for continuing to provide much-needed and sound Bible doctrine, and thank you for the Conference. It is always a blessing for those of us who have nowhere to fellowship. AB (email).

Dear Friends,

I started reading the Bible with Genesis and then on to Exodus. It was interesting until I got to the part with all the instructions in the Law. I wasn’t learning how God was working in people’s lives. Then a fellow Christian brother in another cell told me about you guys and lent me the article “Hebrew Roots and the Leaven of Works Salvation, part 2,” and I felt some relief.

I read the part where it said “a follower of Christ when trying to live by the Law is in error” (or something like that). Basically, the whole second paragraph made sense to me. That was God, I believe, talking to me. He saw that I had started reading and learning His Word and knew that I was a little discouraged and struggling with the Old Testament Laws, and then He brought me your guys’s newsletter. Talk about perfect timing! RN (CA, prisoner)
