“Why, however, was this make-believe Mount even necessary, and why did Dawkins think it would be helpful? Are there not sufficient real-life examples providing more proof than necessary? Wouldn’t fossil evidence be preferable? What about the literally billions of fossils that ought to be littering the landscape? The simple but suppressed answer to that question is that there are none. How does a non-scientist like myself dare to make such a statement? One may “Google” and “Yahoo” to the point of exhaustion asking for “Examples of evolution and natural selection.” What is offered? We’re faced with the same worn-out and discredited examples that continue to show up in evolutionists’ textbooks and websites: the peppered moth, the developing human fetus with supposed gills and a tail, “Lucy,” bacteria and viruses that develop immunity to antibiotics by losing information, not by evolving higher, ad infinitum.
