Speculation, of course, can lead to problems. As a result, Dawkins has had admissions forced upon him by evidence that is far more rational than anything ever discovered by any explorer on Mount Improbable. Some of these admissions are damning. For example, “Biology is the study of complicated things that give the appearance of having been designed for a purpose.” Isn’t it natural selection, and not a presumably nonexistent “God,” that is in charge of how the evolutionary process all turns out? Then why would an independent neutral observer, looking at the evidence, be led to the conclusion that natural selection is the result of design?
