The evolutionist is saying, “More than 100 years of searching has left us with no substantive proof, but we know what happened back then, and given enough time even this or probably that might have happened, so let’s continue our speculation.” The most essential ingredient in Darwinism is billions and billions of years. Given enough time, evolution can do miracles. Dawkins declares:

“Darwin’s big idea explains all of life and its consequences, and that means everything that possesses more than minimal complexity.

“You can pare Darwin’s big idea down to a single sentence . . . : ‘Given sufficient time, the non-random survival of hereditary entities (which occasionally miscopy) will generate complexity, diversity, beauty, and an illusion of design so persuasive that it is almost impossible to distinguish from deliberate intelligent design.’. . .

“‘Given sufficient time’ is not a problem . . . except for human minds struggling to take on board the terrifying magnitude of geological time. [Emphasis added]”
