Nuggets from Cosmos, Creator, and Human Destiny

These New Atheists seem also to be ignorant of the fact that from the days of Christ there were always multitudes of Christians who never gave allegiance to Rome but to the Bible and to Christ alone and paid for their faith with their lives. The Church of Rome martyred them by the millions over a period of centuries before the Reformation. The New Atheists seem to know nothing of the Protestant Reformation, with its cry of sola scriptura. Millions of Roman Catholics in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and thereafter rejected the dogmas of their Church and embraced a biblical faith in Christ alone. These defectors from the false faith that had once held them in bondage were also killed by the hundreds of thousands by the popes and their armies. To equate them and biblical Christians today, who are their successors, with Roman Catholicism (let alone with Islam) is to be guilty either of inexcusable ignorance or deliberate dishonesty. Passing along such misinformation in the name of science not only does a gross injustice to Christ and to His true followers but casts serious doubt on the honesty and motivation of those doing so.
