How could any knowledge (no matter how revolutionary or valuable) that won’t be discovered until that far into the future benefit anyone alive today? Is the time and money spent on any project that can’t possibly pay off for 77,000 years a wise investment for the present generation? The fact that the government eagerly spends taxpayers’ money in that manner ought to be troubling to everyone with minimal intelligence.
