Welcome to the world of atheism! The sardonic bumper sticker used to read, “One atomic bomb could ruin your whole day?” Richard Dawkins’s nihilistic nonsense could ruin your whole life. He advises, “The here and now is all we have, and that is an inspiration to make the most of it…. We are privileged to be alive. And we should make the most of our time on this world.” Make the most of it? Is living a life that has no meaning worthwhile or even possible? And how could any life be worthwhile if it lasts hardly a nanosecond on the cosmic time scale and then passes into oblivion? How could such a life be lived to the fullest? What rational person could be happy about that?
