Nuggets from “Judgment Day: Islam, Israel, and the Nations” by Dave Hunt  --

The celebratory feast at the end of Ramadan in known as Eid al-Fitr….In his speech at the Islamic Center of Washington, DC, on December 10, 2002, President Bush said, “I am pleased to join you today in the celebration of Eid, the culmination of the Holy Month of Ramadan….Islam traces its origins back to God’s call on Abraham. And Ramadan commemorates the revelation of God’s word in the Holy Koran to the prophet Muhammad.”

How could President Bush, a professing Christian, honor Muhammad as a prophet of God and call the Qur’an “God’s holy word”? The Qur’an is completely anti-Christian, contradicting the Bible on almost every major point, including denying the deity of Christ, denying His death upon the cross for our sins, denying His resurrection, and declaring that those who believe in the Trinity go to hell. Isn’t this quite a stretch for Bush in order to achieve “political correctness”? To avoid offending Muslims by suppressing the truth is bad enough; to blaspheme the true God by associating Him with paganism is far worse.
