Suppose the descendants of Adam become angry, frustrated, fearful, anxious, insecure, or lonely. Suppose they feel misused and abused or useless or lacking in purpose or meaning. Let them turn for counsel and help to their Maker, who created them for His own good purpose and knows everything about them. Let them seek counsel from the Manufacturer’s handbook, in which their Maker has provided complete operating instructions. Let them turn to Christ, who saves from the penalty and power of sin, who indwells and empowers and to whom the saints and martyrs throughout history turned and whom they always found sufficient. As David said, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee” (Psalm:56:3). What more do we need?
