Each month millions of letters go out to those on the mailing lists of numerous ministries. Many of them are computer-generated with the recipient’s name inserted at several strategic places to personalize the letter. Our files contain countless letters from televangelists. Many have told how the writer was up much of the night praying for the addressee; or the writer has received a special word from the Lord just for him, etc. Such claims are beyond belief except to the most gullible. It is humanly impossible for any person to pray individually for the many thousands of people on a televangelist’s mailing list, let alone to keep track of individual needs and requests and receive individual prophecies for each one.
