In Johannesburg, South Africa, early in 1996, a man collapsed to the floor during a Benny Hinn revival and was carried out. Benny assured the audience that the Lord had told him the man would be all right. In fact, he died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. In the 1989 New Year’s Eve service at his church in Orlando, Florida, Benny made a number of false prophecies. Here is just one: “The Lord also tells me to tell you…about ’94 or ’95, no later than that, God will destroy the homosexual community of America…He will destroy it with fire.” It didn’t happen. Yet Hinn’s following grows larger.
