Christ is the One who bound Satan the strong man. And He did it not by His power as God, but through paying the penalty for our sins on the cross. Satan is defeated and Christ has all authority. Yet evil continues on this earth because men reject Christ to follow self and Satan. We still pray, “Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew:6:10Thy kingdom come. See All...). Clearly God’s will is not yet done throughout the whole earth, or else He would be to blame for all the evil on this planet. And we are to combat that evil not by a magical binding of Satan (whom Christ has already bound), but with faith and the gospel of salvation.
