As we observe today’s scene, there is another concern. Revival is being pumped up through emotionalism and hype the so-called “praise and worship team” plays a large part in most churches. It is a necessary feature at Toronto or Pensacola. Much of its style comes from the Vineyard and is characterized by shallow, repetitive lyrics and a rocklike beat. This author has listened sadly to “We love to worship You, we love to worship You” or perhaps “We love to praise You” repeated again and again. But there is neither worship nor praise in such repetitive phrases.
