Even when there may be some worthwhile content to the lyrics, the rock beat dominates. Such “worship” goes on for more than an hour at Pensacola or Toronto, where the audience is standing, clapping, jumping, and dancing and is gradually worked into an emotional frenzy that is conducive neither to genuine worship nor to an understanding of the Word of God or the person of Christ.
