The very idea of “progress in religion” denies the gospel of Jesus Christ. Christianity is not a religion, nor is it subject to progressive development. Jesus Christ is “the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews:13:8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
See All...). Neither does Christianity maintain a friendly, ecumenical relationship with the world’s religions; it opposes all of them as devices of Satan. We are to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once [for all time] delivered unto the saints” (Jude 3). Every true Christian should be uncompromisingly opposed to Templeton’s neopagan beliefs and the prize he offers.
