Worse yet, at the Parliament, Colson perverted the gospel with his final story of a crucifix in a prison cell to which a prisoner pointed and said, “He’s doing time for all the rest of us.” Christ is not “doing time” for us. He is no longer on the cross. The debt has been paid in full! Colson’s promotion of this false Christ of Catholicism left unbelievers further from salvation than before.
