Tragically, this same compromise and confusion also characterized Bill Bright’s Templeton Prize acceptance speech at a Catholic church in Rome, to which we have already referred. He used similar religiously correct terms that would not offend Templeton or Catholic Church leaders (four cardinals were present) or representatives of other religions. The terminology Bright used was general enough to allow anyone present to attach his own meaning to the words.
