Freud was a basket case who often fainted, could not control his own sexual impulses, couldn’t stop smoking even after 30 operations, and was haunted by superstitions. Freud said, “Patients are nothing but riff-raff. The only useful purposes they serve are to help us make a living and to provide learning material. In any case, we cannot help them.” Dr. Al Parides, Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA, observed:

“If you look at the personal lives of all Freud’s…initial disciples…[they] have an unbelievable amount of particular problems in the sexual area…. The amount of deviancy as far as their sexual behavior and so forth is enormous.”
