Nuggets from Occult Invasion—Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychology | thebereancall.org

The Association for Humanistic Psychology (AHP) has been deeply penetrated by the most flagrant occultism. As early as 1986, practicing shamans were among key speakers at the AHP’s 24th annual meeting, held at San Diego State University. Participants were given the opportunity to experience and learn to develop in others the shamanic altered state conducive to contact with spirits. There were mediumistic séances for exploring communications with “spirit guides and other spiritual friends.” In its report on the convention, the Los Angeles Times included a photo of Durchback Akuete, an African witch doctor, “inducing a trance in AHP co-president Lonnie Barbach.”
