Regression therapy, which creates false memories, is carried on within the church by Christian psychologists. There is another form of the same delusion, called “inner healing.” It was introduced to Christians by one of the most astonishing occultists to infect the church, Agnes Sanford, to whom we have earlier referred briefly. She is the “Mary Baker eddy” of the charismatic movement and her occult teachings have affected multitudes of noncharismatics. John Wimber was a major factor in spreading her teachings as well as those of other occultists such as Sanford’s pastor, Morton Kelsey.
