Observing a Benny Hinn or Rodney Howard-Browne at work, one notices the careful audience preparation for what follows. Four former leaders in the new revival from England authored a book that every Christian should read: The Signs and Wonders Movement—Exposed. They were accomplished performers of the signs and wonders, and they explain that it was all a matter of learning how. The book lists “VINEYARD TIPS FOR LEADERS.” Here is a sampling, which explains a great deal about how to work up a revival and is the same pattern followed at Toronto and Pensacola:

“It is usually helpful to begin every time with worship [singing, clapping, dancing, etc.] followed by testimonies of people who have been touched. Immediately after the testimonies, invite the Holy Spirit to come upon these individuals again and do a further work…. They often begin to experience the same outward manifestations again. When ministry begins, look for…manifestations such as crying, shaking, laughing, etc…. Encourage people not to be fearful of what God is doing….”
